Laura

Partner/Coach

Laura has extensive experience in the area of fitness both as a player and as a coach. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). She worked as a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level for 5 Conference Championship teams including 4 Olympians, 12 NCAA All-Americans and a National Player of the Year just to name a few.


Laura has taught Nutrition, Bio Mechanics, Weight Training, Anatomy and Physiology at the university level. For 2 years she worked as a Semi-Pro Strength and Conditioning coach working with minor league players who eventually feed into the Major League Soccer teams–most notably the Real Salt Lake team.


Since nutrition is an essential part of being healthy, Laura has become certified to teach the Precision Nutrition program. This program was developed by John Berardi who has created the field of exercise nutrition. Thousands of athletes and individuals have used this program to get into the best shape of their lives and stay that way.


As a collegiate athlete Laura was a point guard and made 4 NCAA Tournament appearances. Laura also was an NSCA All-American. She played basketball overseas in Paris, Amsterdam and Belgium. Her team was ranked in the Top 25 for 3 years and she was awarded the prestigious Leona Holbrook Award at the end of her college career.


Laura has a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and has double Master Degrees in Counseling and Educational Leadership. Her minor is in Coaching. She coached at the collegiate level for 6 years before switching to the fitness industry where she has been for the past 13 years.

Sherman

Coach

Sherman is a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, and Fitness Coach with a background in NCAA Division 1 sprinting at Western Michigan University. His fitness journey began during recovery from a hamstring injury, leading him to research and eventually coach with running clubs in Michigan and Arizona. Transitioning to personal training in Ibiza in 2019, he adapted to online training during the pandemic before seeking one-on-one interactions with clients. Sherman found his fitness home at Burn It Build It Fitness, where he brings his infectious energy and expertise to motivate clients of all ages and fitness levels, focusing on proper form, exercise, and nutrition for overall health and well-being.

Eric

Coach

Eric is a passionate fitness enthusiast and sports management professional who graduated from Western Colorado University in 2023 with a major in Exercise Sport Science and an emphasis in Sports and Fitness Management, coupled with a minor in Business Law. A former collegiate track athlete specializing in the 60m, 100m, 200m, and 4x100m events, Eric brings his dedication and expertise to his pursuits in the fitness industry. Beyond his professional endeavors, Eric enjoys spending quality time with his dog, indulging in offroading adventures, carving up the slopes snowboarding, mastering tricks on his skateboard, conquering trails on his mountain bike, constructing intricate Lego creations, and pushing his limits in the gym through weightlifting sessions.

Sky

Coach

Meet Sky, our new trainer at Burn It Build It Fitness! Sky is nationally certified through NASM and brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team. Born and raised in Orlando, FL, she enjoys the outdoors and hiking. A self-described gym rat, Sky is eager to share her passion for fitness, stemming from her own inspiring transformation.


As a teenager, Sky weighed 175 lbs and struggled with confidence. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she revamped her eating habits and, inspired by her uncle, began lifting weights. The positive changes she saw in her body fueled her motivation, and she swiftly transformed into a fit and confident 135 lbs. Sky’s journey has instilled in her a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of fitness, and she is excited to help others achieve their goals.

Krystyn

Coach

Krystyn brings a dynamic combination of expertise and passion to the Burn It Build It Fitness team. A proud North Carolina native, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Western North Carolina University. Currently, Krystyn is furthering her education by pursuing a Master’s in Exercise Science & Wellness with a concentration in Fitness & Performance.


Certified through USA Weightlifting, Krystyn has 4 years of experience in personal and group training, specializing in weightlifting and sprint mechanics. She has worked extensively with young soccer teams, sharing insights gained from her own 18 years of competitive soccer, which include four conference championship titles and a State Cup Championship title.


Krystyn’s love for fitness began over a decade ago, and her journey took on new meaning after moving to Louisiana. There, she discovered her passion for helping clients of all ages—ranging from 7 to 70+—achieve goals they once thought were out of reach, whether they were new to the gym or seasoned athletes.


Outside of training, Krystyn is dedicated to empowering others to unlock their potential and thrive both on and off the field. With her science-driven approach and personal experience, she’s ready to inspire and support you every step of the way!

Josh

Coach

My long-term passion for fitness and wellness began in a neck and spine specialty physical therapy practice, where I first learned the power of movement in healing. Over time, that foundation evolved into a focus on performance — helping clients move beyond recovery and toward their highest physical potential. With experience that bridges rehabilitation, strength training, and functional movement, I combine clinical insight with performance-based training to support people at every stage of their fitness journey

Jackson

Coach

Jackson played collegiate baseball at Arizona Christian University, earning his Bachelor of Science in biology and sports psychology in 2025. A proud member of the 1,000 lb club, his passion for fitness drives him to help others grow stronger—both physically and mentally—while building meaningful connections along the way. Outside the gym, Jackson enjoys hiking, mountain biking, spending time with friends and family, and geeking out over Star Wars.

Lorena

Coach

Originally from Albania, Lorena combines her background in biology and biotech research with a passion for fitness and results-driven coaching. Having lived coast to coast—from California to North Carolina, Texas, and now Arizona—she brings a well-rounded perspective and loves connecting with people from all walks of life. Outside the gym, Lorena enjoys traveling with her husband, discovering great food, and spending time with her energetic dog and kitten. She’s driven by helping others transform—both physically and mentally—and discover what they’re truly capable of.
